Characteristics: The SensoLyte® 520 Total GSH Quantitation Assay Kit utilizes an optimized enzymatic recycling method for the quantification of glutathione. Glutathione reductase converts oxidized glutathione to reduced glutathione. Upon reaction with reduced GSH, the novel proprietary thiol detection reagent supplied in the kit generates fluorescence which can be easily detected at excitation/emission =490/520 nm. The assay has a linear range of 0.2-100 uM GSH. The kit also provides 5-sulfosalicylic acid for protein removal from biological samples.
